About Reindeer

A type of deer also known as caribou, Reindeer live in colder climates in North America, the Arctic, and Subarctic. They are also found in the colder climes in Europe and Asia in the Mongolian territories and the Scandinavian nations. The reindeer walk on four long legs ending in hooves and have large, multi-pronged antlers. Depending on a reindeer's gender, it can weigh between 130 and 700 pounds. In terms of Christmas lore, Santa has eight reindeer (nine if you count Rudolph!) that pull his sleigh. Their names, immortalized in Clement Moore's poem, "The Night Before Christmas", are Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, and Blitzen.

Dressing up as a Reindeer

In sizes to fit men, women, kids, babies, and even pets, there's a reindeer costume to suit everyone! From padded mascot-style costumes made of plush faux fur with an oversized full coverage mask with antlers. Dress up as a regular ol' reindeer or as red-nosed Rudolph himself! Smaller costumes or onesies are available for babies and toddlers.
