Driving in high-performance vehicles around a track, the sport of race car driving is a lot more athletic than it may seem. Although they're not in direct contact with other participants like football or hockey players, race car drivers require lightning quick reflexes and reaction time so that they DON'T become involved in a "contact sport."

NASCAR, the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, is the "Big League" of racing, starting out in the Southern part of the United States before branching out nationwide as a popular spectator sport. Notable race car drivers include Mario Andretti; the late Dale Earnhardt and his son, Dale, Jr.; and Jeff Gordon, among others.

Dressing up as a Race Car Driver
