About Quasimodo

Quasimodo is the Hunchback of Notre Dame. He is a deformed boy, who was given solace inside the church where he works as the bell ringer. The character of Quasimodo was first given to us in Victor Hugo’s novel in 1831. The story has been retold various times, with an animated version by Disney in the mix. In the animated version we meet Esmeralda who is given sanctuary in the church. She meets Quasimodo and befriends him.

Dressing up as Quasimodo

Quasimodo costume comes with a hunchback, underneath typical peasant clothing. To create the costume you would need a white peasant shirt, brown vest, and brown pants. You would also need brown boots. The rest of the costume will need to be made from makeup or a mask. There are both options available. Quasimodo’s face is deformed with one eye dropping, and badly formed teeth. Quasimodo is not complete without {Esmeralda].
