About Puppy Dog

Ruff, Ruff, what’s that you hear? It’s the sound of a puppy dog. A puppy dog is kind of a redundant statement because if you say puppy you immediately know you are talking about a dog. Puppies are juvenile dogs. Typically a dog is a puppy until they reach about 3 years. There are over a hundred species of dogs that can be purchased as puppies or you can breed them for puppies. A puppy can be 1 to 3 pounds or 15 to 23 pounds depending upon the species. Puppies can change their coat color as they grow into adulthood. Some of the puppies when born do not have fur yet, but will gain fur within the first few weeks. Puppies gestate in their mother’s womb for sixty one or so days before they are born. At this time they will use their mother’s milk to grow until they are old enough for puppy food. Some of the puppies include Siberian Husky, Golden Retriever, Yorkshire Terrier, and Chihuahua.

Dressing up as Puppy Dog##

Since a puppy dog is a younger dog most of the costumes you will find are for toddlers. There are dog costumes for adults though. A most famous puppy dog is Scooby Doo. Scooby Doo has been both a puppy and a grown dog in cartoons. For this costume you would need a brown body suit with black spots, a blue color, and the right Scooby voice! Other options include the precious puppy with a tan body suit with white tummy and black spots. This puppy costume comes with hands and feet, as well as a matching hood with long dog ears and a doggy face. You also have a Labrador puppy costume in very light tan.
