About Princess Aurora

Princess Aurora is a character from Sleeping Beauty. Sleeping Beauty was created as a Disney animation in 1959 as one of the original animations. It is more of a musical than other Disney creations have been. The story of Sleeping Beauty was created from a fairy tale by Charles Perrault. In fact Walt Disney has found many tales from Charles Perrault to animate. Princess Aurora is fated to be stuck with a spinning wheel needle that will cause her to fall asleep for eternity and her family’s castle with it. She was cursed by an evil witch, Maleficent when the witch was not invited to her birth. Fairies tried to hide Princess Aurora, but when she found Prince Philip she was uncovered. Princess Aurora is also known as Rose.

Dressing as Princess Aurora

Princess Aurora’s costume is going to be based on medieval times or renaissance dresses. The gown as part of the costume will have a v- neck with an off the shoulder collar, long sleeves, and a skirt that tapers from the waist to flare out as it reaches the ankles. The dress may be in blue or pink depending on the costume you choose. There are Princess Aurora costumes for toddlers to adults, with a crown to complete it.
