About Princess Ariel

The main, title character in Disney's retelling of Hans Christian Anderson's classic fairy tale, "The Little Mermaid," Princess Ariel is one of the many mermaid daughters of the underwater sea king Triton. Ariel is fascinated by the human world that exists above the sea and desperately wants to be part of that world. After meeting the handsome human Prince Eric, Ariel makes a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula to become human and she can stay human provided she has true love's first kiss with Eric... If not, Ursula gets her soul. The catch is, Ariel's voice that Eric found to be so beautiful is gone and she must prove who she is without speaking. Fortunately, she's aided by her friends, Sebastian the crab, Scuttle the Seagull, and Flounder the fish. The character Ariel's look was modeled after actress Alyssa Milano.

Dressing up as Princess Ariel
