One of the most popular card games of all time, Poker can be played in "hands" of either 5 or 7 cards dealt to a player at a time. In order for a player to win their hand, they must have the highest ranking series of cards that they are holding. Pairs of numbers or face cards rank below three-of-a-kind. Other specialized hands like a Full House or consecutive numbers and face cards in a suit are typically winning hands. Until the last play of the game when all hands are revealed and players have deposited some money in the pot in the center, players do not show their hands. While the game is partially based on luck and odds, maintaining a "poker face" throughout is always beneficial.
