About Pluto

Pluto or Pluto the Pup is a fun loving character from Disney Mickey Mouse Cartoons. Pluto first appeared in 1930 in The Chain Gang cartoon. He is most famously known as Mickey’s dog, and appeared in many cartoons following Mickey around and helping him. Pluto did have some of his own cartoon shorts as well. He starred in a number of them during the 1930’s through the 1950’s. Unlike the other characters from Disney Pluto is not actually given any human characteristics above his facial expressions. The facial expressions are dog like, but can on occasion look like a smile or something else. He is also able to use his front paws for things unlike most dogs. Pluto is one of the most popular characters on Disney and even rivaled that of Sylvester and Tweety. Pluto does appear in Kingdom Hearts Video Games, especially in the second one.

Dressing up as Pluto

It can be hard to find this fun loving dog in a costume despite his popularity. You might find yourself having to make Pluto based on the cartoon animations with Mickey and Minnie. The typical costume will be completely yellow. The hands and legs will need to be covered, and a long thin black tail attached. The head can e separate with either a hat from Disney World or your own style dog face. You should also have the long ears to accompany the costume.
