About Pirates of the Caribbean

What started out as a Disney theme park ride turned into a blockbuster series of films with Pirates of the Caribbean. Starring Johnny Depp as the eccentric pirate, Captain Jack Sparrow, the film has Sparrow building friendships with blacksmith (and son of pirate Bootstraps Bill Turner) Will Turner and the governor's daughter, Elizabeth Swan, with the trio saving one another numerous times in addition to getting involved in all sort of pirate adventures throughout the course of the three films, including fighting for their lives or their -- and in Will Turner's case -- souls against the pirate-with-a-past, the squid-like Davy Jones.

Dressing up as Pirates of the Caribbean

Walk the walk or walk the plank with a pirate costume of your own choosing or an authentic Pirates of the Caribbean costume and accessories. Jack Sparrow is always a favorite choice, with his tri corner hat and pirate wig. Break out the eyeliner to get that convincing, bleary-eyed rum-slugger look down pat!

If you prefer to go masked, try on the Davy Jones mask for size, highly detailed right down to the suckers on his squid-like tentacles, you may want to carry {Davy Jones' key} to the box that holds the ol' sea dog's heart. Well, at least what's left of it having been broken by Calypso.

Ladies can make their own Calypso costume, or dress as Elizabeth Swan in her flowing white gown, or as her Pirate Queen incarnation, depending on how rough n' rugged you want to be! Accessorize with a pirate sword with either costume. (Hey, a gal's always gotta be ready!)
