About Pinocchio

Pinocchio is the tale of a wooden boy who was created as a marionette by the kind toymaker, Gepetto. Gepetto, who wanted a son of his own created the little wooden boy who was brought to life by the gentle Blue Fairy. Although he was capable of independent thought and action, Pinocchio was still wooden. He wanted to become a REAL flesh and blood boy and was promised that if he was good, he would receive his wish. However, if Pinocchio was bad and lied, his wooden nose would grow in length until he told the truth.

Dressing up as Pinocchio

One of the most popular images of Pinocchio comes from the animated Walt Disney film about the little woden boy. Costumes are available in sizes to fit children and adults. Each comes with a harness with attached strings for a marionette look, a pair of lederhosen with attached leg coverings to give the illusion of pin-jointed wood as seen on puppets. Also included is a top with a peter-pan collar and bow along with a feathered cap.
