Wigs date back thousands of years ago, popular with both the ancient Egyptians and Romans. Wigs were worn for formal occassions, theatrical purposes, or every day wear to conceal baldness or to alter one's appearance. While naturally occurring colors like red, black, brown, and blonde were popular, occassionally, different colors not occurring in nature were worn for eye-catching effect!
Dressing up with a Pink Wig
There are a number of great costume ideas that require a pink wig. Pay homage to everyone's favorite "Beauty School Drop Out" Frenchie from Grease and re-do her botched dye job without the hassle of dying your own locks pink. Get punky with a pink punk wig or for a nostalgic throwback to cartoons of the'80s, dress up as the "truly outrageous" pop star, Jem of Jem and the Holograms. For a more currently inspired costume, dress as Dee Dee Doodlebop with a flippy pink wig.
