About Phantom

Phantom is an apparition or ghost, but in most films or books the Phantom is a real human being. There are several phantoms to choose from in Hollywood history. The most notable will be the Phantom of the Opera. The Phantom of the Opera is a book by Gaston Leroux released in 1910. It is about a man disfigured who lives below the Paris Opera house and tutors Christine an up and coming opera singer. The Phantom loves Christine, but she loves Raoul, an Earl. The Phantom of the Opera has been made into a movie as well as been one of the longest running Broadway shows to tour the world.
Another Phantom of note is the comic book character the Phantom. This man is avenging his father’s death while thwarting the bad guys. A movie was made in the late 90’s regarding this character, and was not as big a hit as other phantom characters have been.

Dressing up as Phantom

Depending on which phantom you would like to be you have many choices. You can be the Phantom of Venice, Phantom of the Opera or the comic book phantom. The comic book phantom was in a purple body suit with mask. For Phantom of the Opera you have the masquerade costume in which you dress in a tuxedo, with red and black cape, and a skull like mask. The mask is usually only on half the face. There are children’s and adult costumes for all the phantoms you can choose form.
