About Penguin

Penguins are birds that cannot fly found in Antarctica and the Southern Hemisphere. There are several types of Penguins from the King to the Rockhopper Penguins. They all have the same types of features the bird beak, black head and back, white belly, wings, feathery tail, and webbed feet. The Penguin lives on ice or glaciers using the sea to feed off of fish or just swim around. They can be preyed upon by whales, sharks, and even sea lions depending on which species of penguin and where they can be found. There are smaller Penguins that can live in tropical or temperate climates. The Penguin is a very friendly creature with a waddle. They are often referred to as the tuxedo bird as their coloring reminds so many of a tuxedo. Perhaps because of where they live they have managed to live for several centuries. There were a prehistoric species that has been found in fossil remains, showing just how long they have been able to survive.

Dressing Up as Penguin

The penguin costume comes in a variety of sizes from infant to adult. There is even a penguin hat if you don’t want to go all out in the costume department. The Penguin costume will have the black wings, back, head, and legs. The belly will be white with a yellow beak and webbed feet. The costume is designed to give the waddle appearance to the walk. The arms of the individual go through the wings. There are two styles to the costumes. You can have a full head covering with eye holes or the half face with a hood and beak attached to your nose. To be a rockhopper you would need little tufts of colored feathers near the top sides of the head.
