About Paul Revere

If Paul Revered hadn't announced that "The British are coming! The British are coming" in 1775, our world as we know it might be drastically different. The colonial silversmith alerted the citizens of Boston that the British redcoat soldiers were invading and for the local militia to take to arms to defend themselves. Taking off on his horse and brandishing a lantern, Paul Revere, with a simple act, became a hero of the American revolution.

Dressing up as Paul Revere

Perfect for historical plays, pageants, or parades or as a party costume, Paul Revere can be a unique yet instantly recognizable face. Children can dress up in a Patriot Boys costume or as a Colonial Child with breeches, a waistcoat, white ruffled shirt, and a tri-cornered colonial hat. Adult men can try on a similarly styled colonial man costume. A great accessory to top it all off for a convincing touch is a colonial wig gathered into a ponytail and worn underneath the tri-cornered hat. Carry a 1700s style lantern or even a silver tea pot as additional accessories detailing Revere's position in American history.
