About Parade
A Parade is an event that occurs along a street. The most famous Parade that occurs each year is the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Each year this parade moves through Downtown New York City with many bands, floats, balloons, and of course Santa Clause at the end of the parade train. Parade individuals are often in costume or in their marching band outfits. The floats depending on the parade can vary in theme. The Macy’s parade offers wildlife floats, turkey floats, Disney themes, and much more. The floats, costumes, and participants will change from year to year. Other holiday parades include Mardi Gras and Saint Patricks Day. In Britain and Canada there are also parades, though these parades are more military in style. The Longest Parade in History was the Marksmen’s Parade which is in Hanover during Schutzenfest. It is 12 kilometers in length with more than 12,000 participants. There are over 100 bands and 70 floats.
Dressing up as Parade
Get your Parade look now, with the Daddy Pimp or Jolly Jester look to be a true hit at your next costume party. A parade means you can be anything you wish. Depending on the theme you might go for Santa Claus or Leprechaun. You can go the totally silly route if you wish and grab the Jester. If you want to be a jester you will obtain a bright and fun look. The oversized Jester hat and headpiece helps you see through the mesh mask. You will have the Mardi Gras look with this guy. Along with the mask you get a chest piece with fake hair and purple collar with bells. The entire costume is a one piece jumpsuit with balloon pants and matching Jester shoe covers. For a festive costume the Jester definitely makes the grade. {Santa’s Elf} costumes are just as perfect especially for Christmas Parades. Santa’s Little Helper will be dressed in the typical green elf outfit of tunic and hose. To compliment the look an oversized elf face, Santa hat, and elf shoes are required. Some elves may have a red tunic rather than full green.
