Written and produced by Tim Burton, The Nightmare Before Christmas is a 1993 stop-motion animation film that has become a modern-day classic and has an enormous following from people with a goth sort of leaning. The Nightmare Before Christmas tells the tale of the Pumpkin King of Halloweentown, the charismatic Jack Skellington who glimpses into Christmastown's portal and becomes enamored with the holiday. In his own strange way, Jack puts a spooky, Halloween twist on "the most wonderful time of the year" ... Complete with shrunken heads in boxes and kidnapping "Sandy Claws."

Jack's well-intentioned plot is warped by some of Halloweentown's more unsavory citizens (namely, Lock Shock and Barrel and their evil overlord, Oogie Boogie) kidnap Santa and it's up to Jack and his lady love, the patchwork doll Sally to save the day!

Dressing up as Nightmare Before Christmas

Available to fit adults and kids, there's a Nightmare Before Christmas costume for everyone! Dress as the Pumpkin King himself, Jack Skellington. The officially licensed costume includes a full-coverage face mask featuring Jack's smiling, skull-like head. Also included is a replica of Jack's black pinstriped suit. A white "shirt" panel is built into it along with a spiky bowtie, a signature part of Jack's wardrobe!

Ladies may want to dress as Jack's gal pal (and voice of reason), Sally. Complete with a long wig made of orange yarn, NBC's resident ragdoll's costume also has a patchwork dress with attached "arms" for the illusion of stitching. Add a pair of cute Mary Janes and tights in a vivid color along with some makeup "stiches" drawn on, and you'll be ready to accompany Jack on his adventures!
