About Mrs Claus

Not much is known about Mrs Claus, but you can tell that behind every jolly fat man in a red suit, there's gotta be a woman who's a damn good cook behind him! In the Rankin-Bass Christmas special, "Santa Claus is Coming to Town", Mrs Claus' first name is given as "Jessica" and has red hair, before she's depicted as aging alongside her husband and sporting the familiar style of long white hair piled into a bun. Other stories about Mrs. Claus tell of her as having a kind-hearted nature, similar to that of Santa and is encouraging and takes care of him, the elves, and reindeer up at the North Pole.

Dressing up as Mrs Claus

For a traditional Mrs. Claus look, opt for one of many costumes in ladies' regular and plus sizes! Mrs Claus' everyday look can be achieved with a long, red velvet dress with a demure white apron included. Variations in the tone of red vary from bright candy apple, to a deeper shade, each with different styles of sleeves from plain and straight, trimmed with faux fur, or with a leg-of-mutton styling.

Other costumes with Mrs Claus in her dress attire (Hey! You don't think Santa doesn't take her out for a night out? They paint the town red... and green and white!), a long, off-the-shoulder number with white faux fur trim at the neckline and cuffs. Top it all off with a Mrs Claus wig of snow white hair with either a plain bun in the back or a Gibson-girl style!

For a sexier, sassier Mrs Claus costume, opt for a red velvet catsuit and Santa Hat or a {short Mrs. Santa dress} costume!
