About Mr. Potato Head

Created by George Lerner and marketed by Hasbro in 1952, Mr Potato Head got his start as your average vegetable used for creative play. As a kid, Lerner used to take other fruits and vegetables to make facial features for a potato, which he turned into an imaginative plaything known as {Mr. Potato}. Swap plastic for an actual spud with plastic eyes, noses, ears, mustaches, mouths, and other accessories, and the modern Mr. Potato as we know it was born and has been a childhood favorite ever since.

Dressing up as Mr. Potato Head

Make it a "green" Halloween and choose a costume that comes straight from the soil... and isn't a zombie! Dress up as Mr Potato Head and Mrs Potatohead for a fun couple's costume, or the couple's cousin, Tommy Tater. Complete with a comfy, potato-shaped body suit with pre-attached facial features, you'll be a giant version of this toybox favorite come to life!

For decorating your home for Halloween, pick up some fun Mr Potatohead Push-ins. Specially created in sizes suitable for pushing into pumpkins (instead of potatoes), you can save yourself the step of carving a pumpkin by popping in clever disguises for your Potato Head-Pumpkin like a Pirate, Witch, or Princess to decorate your lawn.
