About Mother Goose

Spinning nursery rhymes and fairy tales, Mother Goose has often been depicted as either an elderly woman or a large goose dressed in a pretty bonnet. Although it was a folk tale and may not have been proven, a REAL Mother Goose may have existed. The widow of Isaac Goose, Elizabeth Goose of colonial-era Boston occupied her time by singing songs and telling stories to her six grandchildren and local children who loved to hear her tails. Centuries later, the tradition continues!

Dressing up as Mother Goose

You'll have children flocking to you like a brood of ducklings with a Mother Goose costume. Opt for a traditional look with a powder blue dress with a white, ruffled pinafore and matching pointed hat. Also included are dainty gloves and a goose-shaped purse. Accessorize your costume with a pair of granny boots, granny glasses, and a grey bun wig.

For a cuter, cuddlier look, really put the "goose" in "Mother Goose" with a mascot-style costume. With an oversized, plush goose head complete with a long bill and fuzzy white fabric and an attached ruffled cap, the costume also includes a faux-fur padded bodysuit with a red flower-printed dress.
