About Moose

A moose is a type of animal similar to elk. They are part of the deer family. Moose reside in the upper regions of North America such as Canada and Alaska. Though, they can also exist in the lower 48 in such places as Wyoming and Yellowstone National Park. There are male and female moose. The male moose is distinguished by their rack. They have a larger rack than elk or deer in that part of the rack spreads out, rather than having spiny antlers. Moose are very furry with long noses, and equally long ears. Bull Moose tend to have a patch of skin that hangs down below the neck and jaw area. Moose are brown, but they can have black or gray to their fur as well.

Dressing up as Moose

Moose make a great mascot costume. Bulwinkle is the most famous cartoon moose and a wonderful costume. For the costume you have very large antlers with wide eyes, and a long nose for the hood. Then the rest of the costume is based on a jumpsuit in brown with hands and feet covered. There is even a little tail to go with it. Moose costumes fit both children and adults, and fit every budget.
