About Miss Piggy

Miss Piggy is a Jim Henson creation for this Muppet show. Miss Piggy was most often played by Frank Oz, but occasionally by Richard Hunt. Miss Piggy starred in several movies, as well as the Muppet Show, Muppet Babies, and the Little Muppet Monsters. Her first appearance was in 1974 on Herb. Miss Piggy became one of the more important Muppets for the shows. She is a pig who believes she is supposed to be a star. She is also Kermit the Frog’s love interest. She is typically high tempered able to do Pig Wan Do, and often gets angry with Kermit when he ignores her. Miss Piggy is a blonde.

For the Miss Piggy costume you will need to check out the pig costume options available. The main part of the costume is a pig then you have to add accessories that she would normally wear. Miss Piggy was very fashionable in her time. This means a hot pink dress, with a slit up one leg would be warranted. High heel shoes, a blonde wig, and pig ears will finish off the costume.
