About Miami Vice

More than just an '80s detective show, Miami Vice influenced mens fashion during the decade. With a five o'clock shadow sporting Don Johnson as Sonny Crockett and Phillip-Michael Thomas as Ricardo Tubbs, two undercover detectives working the Miami underworld as part of the vice squad. The show was also one of the first to utilize popular music of the day (to which the CW and their television shows probably owe them a debt of gratitude) as a coordinating soundtrack to the episodes, featuring the likes of (frequent guest star) Phil Collins, Tina Turner, Billy Idol and others.

The character of Crockett, in particular, dressed in wither white or pastel rumpled suits with brightly colored pastel t-shirts in a variety of shades underneath. Tubbs was only slightly more subdued wearing pinstriped or sharkskin suits with satin ties and shirts in bright or pastel colors. Thousands of men followed suit!

The Sonny Crockett costume comes with a white suit jacket and pants with a pink t-shirt, badge to hang around your neck, and a pair of shades. You'll have to grow your own stubble, though, or dab on some brown eyeliner pencil to get that five o'clock shadow look in an instant.

The Ricardo Tubbs costume comes with a pale purple suit jacket and pants, a black shirt, badge, and of course, some shades to shield yourself from those Miami rays and your own hotness!
