About Metal Gear Solid

One of the most popular stealth-action video games of all time, Metal Gear Solid first arrived on the gaming scene in 1998. The game was developed by Konami for the Playstation and XBox consoles, as well as for the PC. The sprawling, military covert ops story spans several years and focuses on a retired soldier who goes by the codename Solid Snake. Snake is called out of retirement to break into a nuclear weapon facility to rescue hostages and thwart a terrorist attack. Metal Gear Solid has had numerous sequels with other characters who take center stage. Some include The Boss - a female soldier of legendary status who created the Cobra unit Snake was once a part of, EVA another female soldier who carries a .22 styled as lipstick called "The Kiss of Death," and Liquid Snake, Solid Snake's genetic twin and enemy throughout the series.
