Under the sea lives a fantastical creature with the head and upper body of a beautiful female and the lower body with the glimmering fins and tail of a fish. These creatures known as mermaids are the tales of legend, believed to exist underwater, occasionally interacting with sailors and seafarers.

Whether you want to be a mermaid, merman, or mer-child, there are tons of aquatically inspired costumes to fit all ages and sizes. Little girls may want to dress as one of the most famous mermaids of all, Disney's Ariel from "The Little Mermaid", with officially licensed costumes. Sexier adult ladies costumes are available for aspiring mermaids with a number of cute details and men may wish to go as the regal Neptune, King of the Ocean.
