About Melchior

Coming from the East, Melchior was one of the Three Kings or Wise Men who traveled a long distance to gift the newborn Jesus in his birthplace stable in Bethlehem. Bearing precious gifts alongside his fellow kings, Balthazar and Gaspar, Melchior gifted the Christ child with frankincense, an expensive spice sometimes used as incense. Melchior's gift was a symbol of priestlyness, which went along with Jesus' eartly ministry and was also symbolic of prayer.

Dressing up as Melchoir

One of the ancient Magi of the Orient, you can dress as Melchior with a grand costume suitable for Christmas plays or Nativity scenes.
