About Megatron
The leader of the Decepticons and the arch-enemy of the heroic Autobots leader Optimus Prime, Megatron is one of the most ruthless of all the Decepticons. His alternate form that he can transform into a giant gun, a fact easily recognized even in his robotic form thanks to the large cannon-like arm he possesses that is capable of enacting mass destruction to an entire city. Although he will stop at nothing to make the human race submit to his robotic Decepticons, he has a healthy respect for Optimus Prime although they differ greatly in their beliefs. Oddly enough, he demonstrates a sense of honor many times in his dealings with Prime and is not nearly as insane as his second-in-command, Starscream.
In the first live-action Transformers movie, Megatron died. It's rumored he may appear in the second film, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Guess we'll just have to wait and see!
Dressing up as Megatron
Based on the classic version of the Decepticon's evil leader, the Megatron costume includes a deluxe jumpsuit in a dark, metallic silver fabric with red accents. Emblazoned on the chest of the Megatron costume is the purple Decepticons' insigian. Also included is a heavy-duty plastic mask modeled after Megatron's robotic face. Featured on both the mask and the costume itself are "circuitry" for a more realistic look of this ultimate bad guy. Pair up with an Optimus Prime costume for a robotic face-off to see who will emerge as the supreme Transformer
