The Middle Ages covered a lot of territory in that period between the fall of the Roman Empire in the 5th Century and the 16th century. Usually the first thing to spring to mind are lords and medieval ladies, chivalrous knights and dragons. In the middle of all of the sword fighting and ale-swilling in mead halls, the Renaissance came with a "rebirth" of art, architecture, and even philosophy. Mostly confined to the Western part of the European continent, the medieval times brought forth much upheaval and significant changes throughout time in addition to beautiful poetry, paintings, and culture.

Whether you're heading to a Renaissance Faire, historical re-enactment or a costume party, it's easy to find something from the Medieval era to suit your style.
