About Medieval Princess

Medieval is just another way of saying Middle Ages when referring to a period of time. A medieval princess is going to be a young woman who lived during the Middle Ages and was born to royalty. A princess is usually the daughter or daughter in law of the king and queen. She is a princess awaiting to take the throne as queen. Of course not all princesses would become queen. Typically a princess would have been educated well in many things such as the running of a kingdom in both social and political occasions. The princess was also used in diplomatic options to help stave off war or bring peace to nations.

Dressing up as Medieval Princess

Guinevere is perhaps the most well known medieval princess, but you also have Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and other princesses to choose from. When dressing up as a medieval princess you will wear a costume created for the Middle Ages time period, meaning a tight bodice, with a scooped neck that moves into an ankle length skirt. The skirt of the dress could be one single color or a couple of colors. Usually the sleeves of the dress were a bell style. The costume is then completed with a headdress of either flowers or a crown. The medieval princess costume comes in child and adult sizes for every budget.
