About Master Chief
In the popular XBox 360 game, "Halo," Master Chief refers to lead character Master Chief Petty Officer John-117 and is considered to be an iconic character in the world of video games. Master Chief is a SPARTAN super-soldier in a futuristic society which is the backdrop for the "Halo" franchise of games. A man of few words, the stoic Master Chief's persona was created as such by the game's developers so that players could feel that the character could be them and they could interpret him however they would like. For this reason, you rarely see Master Chief's face in the game, hidden behind his imposing armor which boosts his height to 7 feet. Calm, cool, collected, and rather cynical, Master Chief has been patterned after the likes of Clint Eastwood, a total professional who has a dirty job to do and always gets it done.
Dressing up as Master Chief
Officially licensed Halo 3 costumes are available in sizes to fit adults and teens. Modeled after main character Master Chief's armor, these elaborate costumes feature deluxe molded armor attached to the costume and in various parts to give a more realistic Super Soldier look from head to toe with chest panels, leg armor, and boot covers. Sold separately are the Halo gloves in the Mjolnir Armor style in all black molded latex. To top it all off, there is the two-piece Vacuform mask of a camo-colored plastic with an inset gold visor/faceplate to hide your identity. The mask offers full coverage and is the perfect finishing touch for an authentic looking Master Chief costume!
