About Marine

Marine or Marines are a branch of the US military. They can provide protection from the sea using the Navy to transport their vehicles, and individuals to the needed location. They provide amphibious expeditions, air ground forces, and will come in by air, land, or sea whenever needed. They are always in readiness. There are over 200,000 individuals in the marines right now with more in the reserves. The Marines have their origins as far back as 1775. Their motto is Semper Fidelis, and their nickname is The Few, The Proud. Marines can be a bit bullheaded, more so than the other military branches. Their training is tough and that makes it easier for them to support our country in times of need.

Dressing up as Marine

The Marine uniform can provide us with a wonderful costume idea. The uniform can be camouflage in which you have a green tee shirt, with a jacket and pants. The costume would be complete with hat and combat shoes. There are also formal dress wear that can be used as an idea for a costume. Don’t forget to check out other military costumes such as the Navy if you want something a little different. Children and adult costumes exist for Marine ideas. The costumes can be a little more expensive than say a horse, but well worth it as you can show your pride in the military branch.
