Marilyn Manson is both the name of the band and the altar ego of rocker Brian Warner who has been shocking audiences with his industrial-strength metal and wild stage shows. Combining the first name of silver screen icon Marilyn Monroe with the last name of serial killer Charles Manson, the standard formula for creating band member names meshes the beautiful alongside the gruesome. Known as an intellectual and artist (he also paints in his spare time), Marilyn Manson is best known for his bands' songs "The Beautiful People," "Tourniquet," and a cover of the Eurythmics "Sweet Dreams."
