The Roman general... Not J-Lo's husband! Marc Anthony was one of Julius Caesar's best and most trusted allies. According to Shakespeare, Anthony gave Caesar's famous funeral oration. He eventually formed a triumvirate of power consisting of Caesar's nephew Octavian (who would become Augustus), Anthony, and Lepidus. In 33 B.C., Anthony broke away from the Triumvirate, warring with Octavian and hooking up with the Egyptian queen Cleopatra, carrying on a torrid love affair. He died by his own hand following defeat in battle. What a bummer.
