About Majorette

A majorette is a woman usually in a school dance company or band, who dances and uses baton twirling. Majorettes also appear in parades. The first majorette can be dated back to the 1800’s, and now we have majorettes with drill and gymnastic capabilities. Majorettes have been known to twirl more than batons in the past. In fact many from the past used to twirl knives, flags, and more. Part of their dance moves included cartwheels, back flips, and more.

Dressing up as Majorette
