About Lollipop Guild

The Lollipop Guild was created for the Wizard of Oz. After the song “Ding Dong! The Witch is Dead” three Munchkins come onto the scene signing the song. The Munchkins call themselves the Lollipop Guild. The movie was released in 1939, making the concept an older one. To be in the Lollipop Guild you have to have a costume that matches the movie. It is also best to be on the shorter side. The song was sung to Dorothy, and her friends. At the end of the song the three Munchkins presented her a large Lollipop.

The Wizard of Oz is one of the most popular films. There are a ton of different costume options, such as Dorothy and the Scarecrow, but what happens if you want to be someone else from the movie? What if you are a child or on the short side? Munchkins in the movie, such as the Lollipop Guild help you in this. There were three male Munchkins in the singing group. They all had plaid short sleeve shirts, with a white collar, knee length blue shorts, and leggings. The leggings should be green with white stripes, to match the green shoes. The guild had three different colors for the shirts, but yours can be red. Do not forget your lollipop!
