About Lizard

Lizards are a species of reptile. These species live on nearly every continent except for Antarctica. Lizards make up about 5,000 different species. They have evolved over time, and unlike dinosaurs were able to make it through that period of extinction. Lizards are different from snakes because they have limbs. However, snakes and lizards share a quadrate bone which can move. This bone is in the jaws so the lizards and snakes can open their mouth wider for larger prey. Most lizards are carnivores or omnivores. However, some of just vegetarians like the smaller lizards. Komodo dragons, bearded dragons, chameleons, geckos, and iguanas are all types of lizards. Iguanas are medium sized lizards. The gecko like that from Geico is a smaller species of lizard. The Komodo dragon is one of the largest lizards. These animals lay eggs rather than bear their young. Most prefer warmer temperatures like tropical rainforests or deserts. Mice, rats, rabbits, other lizards, and insects are live food lizards will eat.

In movies there have been many types of lizards offered from the horror style to the cute. For example in {Monsters vs. Aliens} there was a lizard and also Land of the Lost offered a type of lizard. Lizard costumes to fit children and adults. They are all made as a bodysuit with feet and hand coverings. The costumes also come with tail and matching hood. The jumpsuit can be bright green with yellow or a lesser green almost tan look. The deluxe costumes will have scale like patterns on the tummy.
