About Lion

Lions are very popular as costumes in movies for a variety of reasons. Most of us think the big cats are powerful, cute, and just neat. Lions have existed in Africa for several centuries as beast dominating the African desert. They are a family cat where one male takes care of the pride. The male dominates and can actually harm its young when food is scarce, but more importantly the females keep their young close for the first few years to teach them how to hunt and survive. Lion’s in movies reminds me of the Wizard of Oz and the Cowardly Lion. I think that is probably the usual thought, all though we know have the Lions from Disney’s Narnia, Tiger, and the Lion King.

Dressing up as Lion

Before you can dress up as a lion you need to know what kind of lion you would like to be. You have Tiger which is considered a lion, but a little bit of a different animal. You also have regular lion costumes like Lionel or the Cowardly Lion. Dorothy, theScarecrow, and Witch costumes will add to the Wizard of Oz theme if you wish. In the lion category you have children’s costumes, infants, and on up to adults. You even have cuddly costumes as well as cat accessories. Most of the lion costumes are going to be full body in which your head as well as your face are covered. You can get just the hooded costumes as well. Narnia makes for some other additions for a different theme. For a sexy cuddly adult lion you can have a form fitting short dress with cat ears, gloves, and boots. It is up to you and the expense you would like to make, but there is something for everyone.
