As the guardians of large pots of gold at the end of the rainbow, Leprechauns will pull out any trick to ensure that their treasure stays safe and away from mortal clutches. Usually depected as mirthful, yet clever creatures, a creepy side to these Irish sprites was shown in the popular (and extremely cheesy -- but in a good way!) horror movie franchise, "The Leprechaun."
