About Leprechauns

Wee little tricksters with a penchant for sharp suits the color of the Emerald Isles where they reside, Leprechauns are a major part of Irish folklore. As the guardians of large pots of gold at the end of the rainbow, Leprechauns will pull out any trick to ensure that their treasure stays safe and away from mortal clutches. Usually depected as mirthful, yet clever creatures, a creepy side to these Irish sprites was shown in the popular (and extremely cheesy -- but in a good way!) horror movie franchise, "The Leprechaun."

Dressing up as a Leprechaun

Whether it's {St. Patrick's Day} or any other day of the year celebrating your Irish heritage -- or if you happen to be a fan of the Notre Dame {Fightin' Irish} football team, you don't have to travel to the end of the rainbow to find some awesome accessories and costumes to turn you into a Leprechaun. If your tastes are as traditional as Ireland itself, there are several different green top hats or green derby hats to top off a Top of the Mornin' look with a Leprechaun costume complete with a green waistcoat and short kelly trousers. Put on a curly green wig or use some spray in hair color in green to add a touch of the Irish to your tresses and give a stunning, head-to-toe green look! For a leggy lass, there's the Luscious Leprechaun costume, an emerald affair in short, satin and velvet with a pair of shamrock-bedecked thigh-highs to complete the look!
