About Lemon

Lemons are part of the small evergreen species of tree. Lemon trees are native to Asia, but can be grown in other parts of the world. When the tree begins to ‘flower’ it produces the fruit we call lemons. Lemons are used for many different dishes, mostly baked goods or for lemonade. Lemon is a citric acid meaning its pH is between 2 and 3. Lemons are rather inexpensive providing a tart flavor to drinks and food. Some dishes like lemon chicken are quite popular, as well as Asian dishes that use lemon for flavor. For baked goods lemon juice is used to offer a slightly tart flavor. Lemon Meringue Pie is a favorite with many pie eaters because it is both tart and sweet.

Dressing up as Lemon

“Get your lemonade now!” Or perhaps you would rather lemon meringue pie where you can be sweet, yet a bit tart? Luckily for you in the lemon costume category you have a few options. You can elect to be a giant lemon in which your upper body is encased in a yellow suit, with a lemon hat to match. If you would rather be a piece of pie consider the lemon meringue costume in which you are going to wear a yellow dress with a bit of meringue to add to the look. Of course you can choose a simple glass costume filled with yellow lemonade as well. If you have lemons you might want to have lime or strawberry along. Strawberry lemonade is rather popular!
