Kings or monarchs come from the Greek word meaning one. The king of a country is the one absolute ruler. While we do not have many Kings left to rule today in the Middle Ages and before there were many rulers and royal families. Now most of the kings are in movies and fantasy. Kings can be in the traditional costume when in movies or they can be from fantasy movies such as The Lord of the Rings. There used to be pirate kings in history.

Lord of the Rings had many kings and wizards that make create costumes for those who would like to have power for their next costume party. A king can be dressed in tunic and hose with the long royal cape and crown. You can also have playing card kings in which you dress as one of the four kings in a deck of cards. The warrior king outfit is from the Middle Ages and many of Hollywood’s depictions. You also have King Kong the famous great ape.
