About Killer Whale

Killer whales are a type of mammal that live in the ocean. They are part of the Delphinidae family. They are also known as cetacea. Killer Whales have a Native American name of Orca. A killer whale is mostly black with white belly, and other little white patches. They are at the top of their family as hunters. They eat seals, sea lions, fish, and even dolphins. They can hold their own against sharks as well. Killer Whales became very popular when Sea World introduced Shamu. They became more popular with the movie Free Willy. Killer Whales are like dolphins in that their tail fin moves up and down rather than side to side like a shark. Killer Whales need cooler climates, which is why they do well in places like Alaska, Iceland, and other northern regions.

There are two types of killer whale costumes. You have a killer whale costume which sits horizontal on the body. This type of costume is stuffed with fluff to keep it upright. The person fits between the head and the tail. The other option is an upright killer whale. This costume has the feet covered in the tail fin, with the arms in the side flippers, and a hood shaped like a whale head. It is all one suit like a mascot would be.
