About Kid Teddy Bear

The teddy bear is the most traditional form of a stuffed animal made today. The actual concept of the teddy bear is associated with Theodore Roosevelt. The first teddy bear was created in 1902. Roosevelt was on a hunting trip and after a long chase his companions managed to tie a black bear to a tree in order for Roosevelt to shoot it. Unfortunately Roosevelt felt this was not sportsman like and did not shot the bear. He did ask for it to be shot by someone else to put the suffering animal out of its misery. Cartoons where created and a lot of political jokes were made. Morris Michtom saw the cartoons and decided to create the bear to sell as a toy. He named it Teddy’s Bear and got permission to sell it. In 1903 Leipzig Toy Fair produced a German made bear and sold 3000 in the US. By 1906 Michtom and Steiff joined together to create Teddy Bears. Some teddy bears are now kept as collector’s items, while others are played with by children, until they fall apart.

Kid teddy bear is really just a teddy bear costume made for infants to children. You have a ton of different teddy bear options in the kids section. You can be oatmeal colored teddy bear with a brown stomach, a completely brown teddy bear, or even a teddy bear in a honey pot. The teddy bear costume is typically a one piece suit, with a zipper in the back. The hood for the teddy bear face can be attached or not. The hood is usually just material with ears, leaving the child’s face open. You can find some kid teddy bear costumes with a complete head, but that is rare.
