About Kate Gosselin
A suburban Philadelphia housewife, Kate Gosselin is one of the stars of TLC's reality series, "John and Kate Plus Eight." During the early years of her marriage to John Gosselin, Kate was a nurse, specializing in labor and delivery. She soon gave birth to twin girls, Cara and Mady. The Gosselins wanted to expand their family, hoping for a boy, but due to polycystic ovary syndrome, Kate was unable to conceive. They tried in-vitro fertilization and Kate gave birth to a SIX kids as a result of that pregnancy. The large, Gosselin brood landed the family their own cable television show. The show focused on the Gosselin's eight kids' antics and marriage of John and Kate... Usually with Kate verbally berating henpecked hubby Jon. Unfortunately, fame took its toll on the family and John and Kate filed for divorce in 2009. The show, however, is still continuing, even in light of recent personal events.
