About Kanon

Kanon began as an adult manga created by Key. It hit shelves in 1999. The concept was turned into a PC version and game. The TV anime ran from January 2002 to March 2002 with 13 episodes. The story of Kanon begins in winter with snow falling. We see the main characters in the shopping district, especially Ayu. The story takes place at the school as well. Memory loss is one of the episodes plots in which the three main characters Yuichi, Ayu, and Makoto all suffer. Yuichi is the protagonist who is a very cynical 17 year old. He plays jokes on girls, yet is very loyal. Ayu is a mysterious character who appears with a winged backpack, red hair band, and a fondness for Taiyaki.

Dressing up as Kanon

Ayu is the most popular cosplay costume offered in small to xxLarge sizes for adults. The costume has a one piece dress. This dress is red with long sleeves. It is very much the Japanese style we often see in anime. The sleeves have white cuffs. The collar is rather high, but the length of the dress is to the mid thigh. Along with the dress is a white cape with blue trim. This cape sits just over the shoulders and upper chest. A blue tie completes the look. You will need black knee socks and black shoes, with a black cosplay wig.
