About Kagome

Kagome is your average school girl in Japan until she falls through her families well and ends up in the Feudal Era. In the Feudal Era she meets a half demon named Inuyasha that starts off fighting her for the Shikon Jewel. The jewel can be used to give more power to a demon or turn a half demon into a full demon. It can also be used to make a half demon human. Through several betrayals and a nemesis named Naraku, Inuyasha and Kagome fight to gain the jewel shards back, after Kagome shatters the jewel. There are several friends that they encounter who fight against Naraku, until finally Naraku is defeated and Kagome stays in the Feudal Era. Inuyasha premiered in 1996 in Shonen Sunday in Japan. It took until 2004 for the show to air in the US. There are 167 episodes for TV, and over 460 Manga episodes. The tale was created by Rumiko Takahasi, who also created Ranma ½.

Dressing up as Kagome

Although Kagome is seen in feudal era clothing she is normally in her school outfit. This outfit has a green skirt above the knees, a white shirt that kind of reminds you of a sailor top- with green scarf, and white knee socks. The shoes are tan loafers. Kagome also has a yellow backpack and bike that travels with Inuyasha, Miroku, Sango, and Shippo a fox demon. Another character to take from the Manga is Koga, a wolf demon who is in love with Kagome. Kagome also has long black hair, which will complete your dressing up as her character. Kagome is a priestess reincarnated so she also has a bow and arrow for the costume.
