About John Travolta

Born on February 18, 1954, John Travolta is the youngest of six children (his oldest sister, Ellen, played Scott Baio's mother on "Charles in Charge"), and is one of the most well-known actors in Hollywood, and an avowed Scientologist. He has played some of filmdom's most memorable characters, starting out on the '70s television series, "Welcome Back, Kotter" as the tough-guy dunce, Vinnie Barbarino. From there, he showed the world his dance moves, getting "Greased Lightning" as teen dream greaser Danny Zuko and as a Brooklyn disco king with Saturday Night Fever. Travolta fell off the map for awhile but found a comeback as hitman Vincent Vega in Quentin Tarantino's "Pulp Fiction" where he schooled the world that a McDonald's Quarter Pounder is known as a "Royale with Cheese" in France.

John Travolta has played some of the most memorable characters in all of filmdom... And you can dress up as most of them! Get Grease-y as Danny Zuko with a Danny wig with slick, wavy black locks cut into a short, D.A. pompadour style that would fit in with any gang of '50s T-Birds. Put on an officially licensed Grease jacket in black pleather with a pair of jeans and a white t-shirt with tightly rolled sleeves. Or, dress up as yet another character Travolta made famous, with a Saturday Night Fever costume based on Brooklyn-dwelling disco king, Tony Manero with a white disco costume with pants and a matching suit jacket with an attached black insert to look like Travolta's iconic duds. Put on a pair of dancing shoes and a few gold medallions around your neck!
