About John Adams

One of the Founding Fathers of the nation, John Adams was the second President of the United States of America and the very first Vice President under George Washington. Born on October 30th, 1735, he served a single term from 1787 to 1801 and was instrumental in the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. His son by his equally influential wife Abigail Adams, John Quincy Adams, also became President (John Quincy Adams was the sixth President of the nation). Most recently, HBO aired an award-winning mini series based on the life of John Adams starring actor Paul Giammati.
