Best known for his hit songs, "Margaritaville" and "Cheeseburger In Paradies," Jimmy Buffett is an American singer who made his mark in the '70s but is still going strong. Thanks to his legions of fans known as "Parrotheads," Buffett's brand of "island escapism" tunes fit a unique niche in the music world. He is also an author and entrepreneur, the owner of several restaurant chains named after his most popular songs in connection with the umbrella corporation that owns Outback Steakhouse. He is also known for his philanthropy and charity work, performing for free at several benefit concerts and donating not just money to the cause, but pays for the drinks of attendees.
