About Jesus

Jesus Christ in the Christian faith is believed to be the Son of God who was born of the virgin Mary. He was born as a man 2,000 years ago and sent to Earth to walk among mortals to help show them a better way. From the time of his birth until his 30th year, Jesus was a humble carpenter, following in the footsteps of his adoptive father, {St. Joseph}. From the age of 30 until his death by crucifixion at the age of 33, Jesus traveled throughout Israel performing miracles such as healing the blind and sick, resurrecting the dead, and changing water into wine.

Dressing up as Jesus

Who doesn't like Jesus? Okay, maybe Satan, King Herrod, and a few pharisees, but for the most part, whether you're a believer or not, everyone generally likes the Messiah. You may not be able to turn water into wine at your next costume gathering, but you can be the (everlasting) life of the party with a Jesus costume with a long brown wig and brown beard and mustache complete with a long, white tunic with a maroon wraparound. Hoist up a "thumbs up" and you can be the "Buddy Jesus" from the Kevin Smith "Dogma" film! Right on!
