About Japanese
Japanese can refer to a couple of different things. First it is a language spoken by the people of Japan. Japanese can then also refer to the ethnic group one fits into. There is a Japanese writing system in which symbols or Kanji and Kana are used. Japan where Japanese people come from is located in Asia sitting in the Pacific Ocean. Japan is an Island which has been a powerful source of electronic equipment and is a top business center for the world. Despite its size Japan has a very large population. Japanese people have included Samurai, Geisha, and Kabuki Warriors. There are also Japanese Princess and many Anime costumes. Japan is well known for their anime creations such as Naruto, Inuyasha, Sailor Moon, and even Cosplay.
Dressing up as Japanese
As mentioned above there are a number of people or fictional people that can be turned into costumes. One of the most popular is the Geisha outfit in which the women were Kimonos. A Kimono is a long robe made from silk that wraps around to make a dress. It is generally loose fitting, until the belt with bow is added around the waist. Some Kimonos are knee length, but most are meant to be ankle length. Each robe will have an Asian design to it. Often the sleeves of the outfit are in a bell style. The hair is then placed in a bun, see Geisha wig for a better idea. For men the Samurai outfit is most popular. This outfit has black silk or knit pants loose fitting around the legs, and a short Kimono shirt tied with a silk strap around the waist. To complete the outfit armor and a Samurai sword would be needed.
